Award Criteria

The Yelm Prairie Arts Association (YPAA) invites grant applications from both the visual and performing arts community of Yelm and the surrounding area. Application to the grant process is open to any not-for-profit organization that meets the criteria.

The grant distribution will be determined by the YPAA Board of Directors. Recipients will be selected based on individual review of the information provided in the applications.

We hope to provide funding to at least three (3) events/projects. We anticipate awards ranging from $500 to $3,000. Awards will be based on the number of applications received and individual need.

Eligibility:

• Your organization must have a not for profit status
• Your organization must be “art based”
  1. supporting visual arts, or
  2. performing arts - dance, music, or drama

All grant proposals are to be submitted on a YPPA Grant Application form.

Applicants are asked to check all required information carefully. Incomplete applications will be automatically disqualified.

Key “proposal” points for your consideration:

• Is the need for the project clearly established?
• Are the project objectives given in detail?
• Are the activities for the project clearly outlined?
• Is the project timeline clearly delineated?
• Is there evidence of commitment and collaboration of all involved parties?
• Is the budget consistent with the project objectives and activities?

To apply for a grant:

By Mail: Please complete a YPAA Grant Application Form and return it to Yelm Prairie Arts, P O Box 2168 Yelm, WA 98597.

Select a format:

• PRINT a copy of the form to fill out and mail in.
• APPLY ONLINE - Your application will be sent to the Grant Committee for consideration automatically as soon as you have completed it and clicked the "SUBMIT" button.
• EMAIL - Have the form sent to you by email or regular mail.

2. YPAA logo must be printed on all project advertisement. We will provide you a download of our logo if you receive a grant.
